Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a P-8A Avionics Engineer based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide, to join the P-8A Poseidon team in a 12-month temporary position. You will apply engineering judgment to support design, maintenance and repair of critical weapon systems for the Australian Defence Force.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least two years' avionics experience, with knowledge of regulated aviation standards (DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA).

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering with relevant discipline.
Minimum 2 years' experience in avionics or aircraft maintenance support.
Experience with regulated aviation environments (DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA).
Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

Support P-8A weapon system across aircraft, mission, and training systems.
Provide avionics input to findings and engineering decisions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop engineering artefacts and documentation.
Contribute to design projects from concept to delivery.
