Job summary

Smartways Logistics Holdings is seeking an Owner Driver based in Sydney CBD to join our fast-paced team. You will collect and deliver medical inventory on time, build strong relationships with customers, and coordinate with the wider Smartways network.

A valid Australian driver’s licence, willingness to establish a Pty Ltd company, and appropriate insurances are required. Expected hours are 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work and opportunities for after-hours work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Every Smartways service contributes to a positive patient outcome. To support our operations, we are seeking an Owner Driver based in Sydney.
This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include:

• Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and existing)
• Working closely with other Smartways team members
• Proactively managing the return of loaned medical equipment
• Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the wider Smartways network

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You will bring:

• Strong knowledge of the Sydney region and ability to determine optimal routes
• A reliable work ethic and team-first mindset
• Confidence using technology, including phones and basic computer systems
• Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (with ad-hoc weekend work available)

WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED?

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 2T Van (or willingness to acquire one)
• A registered Pty Ltd company (or willingness to establish one prior to commencement)
• All required insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo, etc.)
• A valid and clean driver's licence
• Full legal working rights in Australia
• Willingness to complete a police check and driver history check
• The ability to operate the contracted vehicle yourself (no subcontracting or third-party supply)
