Job summary

Staff 360 on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, is seeking an experienced Overseer to lead day-to-day sheep and grazing operations within a growing Merino ewe base.

The role offers progression within a professionally managed agricultural group with strong infrastructure, on-farm accommodation, and relocation support where required.

• Solid practical sheep/grazing background.
• Confident stock handler with strong working dog skills.
• Reliable, practical and hands-on operator.

Responsibilities

• Mustering, yard work, animal health treatments and supplementary feeding.
• Support grazing and pasture management programs.
• Operate machinery and maintain infrastructure including fencing, water systems and yards.
• Work alongside Farm Manager and broader management team.
• Coordinate or support contractors during shearing, crutching, marking and seasonal operations.
• Step into greater responsibility where capability allows.

OVERSEER – SHEEP & GRAZING

KANGAROO ISLAND, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

A professionally managed agricultural business is seeking a capable livestock overseer to join a well-developed sheep and mixed farming operation on Kangaroo Island.

This role is flexible depending on experience — suited to a strong Overseer, or an experienced head stockman sheep operator ready to step into greater responsibility within a structured business.

The focus is on practical livestock capability, reliability, working dog skills and the ability to contribute within a quality commercial farming operation.

THE OPERATION

• Approx. 1,500ha grazing / arable country
• Merino ewe base operation producing first cross lambs
• Flock currently rebuilding toward scale
• Seasonal trade cattle program
• Approx. 200ha cropping program (canola / barley / grazing crops)
• Part of a broader 3-farm Kangaroo Island aggregation
• Shared planning, labour and operational support across the group

THE ROLE

• Hands-on involvement across day-to-day sheep and livestock operations
