Job summary

HR Partners is seeking a reliable HR Driver / Waste Labourer to join our operational team in Burwood. This casual role focuses on waste operations with potential for full-time work, demanding early starts and a strong safety mindset.

You will operate rear loader waste trucks and street sweeper gear, perform daily pre-start checks, and support the local council with efficient, safe collection routes. The role offers a competitive base rate with overtime loadings and weekend penalties for eligible

Qualifications

Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence.
Experience operating Rear Loader Waste Trucks or Street Sweeper Trucks is highly preferred.
Willingness to work early morning/night rosters, including 4-hour weekend shifts.
Strong physical fitness for hands-on waste collection duties, mechanical sympathy, and safety first mindset.

Responsibilities

Operate a 2-man rear loader compactor truck.
Conduct public litter bin collections followed by hard waste collections.
Work with offsider to maintain efficient, safe collection routes.
Drive and operate mechanical street sweeper trucks across.
Perform daily vehicle pre-start checks and ensure fleet cleanliness and safety compliance.
