Job summary

OutSystems is seeking a talented Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications on the OutSystems AI-powered platform in Australia (Melbourne/Sydney). You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions, while adhering to best practices and architecture patterns.

You will work with REST APIs and external systems, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers as part of an agile team dedicated to enterprise software

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing applications on the OutSystems platform (O11 or ODC).
• OutSystems Associate Developer certification (or higher).
• Strong grounding in web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and external systems.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and clear communication with stakeholders.

About The Role

We are looking for a talented OutSystems Developer to join our team in Australia (Melbourne/Sydney) and help design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications on the OutSystems AI-powered platform. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. This role will be supporting OutSystems, but will be managed by a third-party agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the OutSystems platform
• Translate business requirements into functional, well-architected OutSystems solutions
• Follow OutSystems best practices and architecture patterns (e.g., O11 4-Layer Canvas, ODC software architecture)
• Integrate OutSystems applications with external systems and APIs (REST, etc.)
• Perform code reviews and ensure code quality, reusability, and maintainability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive and accessible interfaces
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Maintain technical documentation for developed components and integrations
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Must-Have Proven experience developing applications on the OutSystems platform (O11 or ODC)
• OutSystems Associate Developer certification (or higher)
• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with REST API integrations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Have

• OutSystems Professional Developer or Expert Developer certification
• Experience with OutSystems ODC (Developer Cloud)
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Background in traditional software development (e.g., Java, .NET, C#)
