The Role
We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Lead to spearhead the development of innovative low-code applications using the OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) platform.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who combines hands‑on development expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and mentoring capabilities. You will work closely with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions that drive operational efficiency and business outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping technical standards, guiding development teams, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully within time and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications using OutSystems ODC.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture designs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level developers on OutSystems best practices.
- Establish and enforce development standards, governance, and coding best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure solution quality and maintainability.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, risks, and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues and performance challenges.
- Support application optimisation, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with architects, analysts, testers, and business teams to achieve delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design artefacts, and support guides.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge‑sharing activities.
- Stay current with OutSystems platform enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
What You’ll Need
- Proven commercial experience delivering solutions using OutSystems ODC.
- Strong understanding of low‑code application development principles and methodologies.
- Experience leading development teams and delivering complex technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, development lifecycle, and delivery frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or similar methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical designs.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in fast‑paced delivery environments.

- Experience with additional low‑code or no‑code platforms.
- Knowledge of modern web technologies including:

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of software development experience, with significant exposure to low‑code technologies.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
- Proven experience working within enterprise or large‑scale technology environments.
