Job summary

Gippsland Grammar is seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Education Trainee to join our team in 2027. This traineeship allows you to gain hands-on experience across Outdoor Education programs while completing a Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership.

You will work with experienced educators, developing leadership, risk management, equipment handling and field delivery skills. The role supports programs during term time across Primary and Secondary campuses, primarily at Garnsey, with travel to other

• Recent graduate seeking entry into outdoor education.
• Passion for outdoors and adventure required.
• Ability to work with young people.
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn.
• First aid and child safety qualifications preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programs such as hiking, canoeing, surfing, snow camping, rafting and environmental activities.
• Prepare and maintain outdoor equipment.
• Support camp logistics and day-to-day operations of the Outdoor Education department.
