Job summary

Downunder People in Victoria is seeking a vibrant Outdoor Education Teacher to join our camp team, delivering programs for students from Year 3 to Year 10. This weekday residential role includes staff accommodation and meals, with opportunities to work in a dynamic, outdoor learning environment.

You will help run activities such as orienteering, abseiling, hiking and rock climbing, support student wellbeing and foster teamwork, while aligning with Victorian teaching requirements and safety

Qualifications

• Victorian teachers registration or eligibility required.
• Stable employment history.
• Commitment to culturally diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outdoor and wilderness programs for students in Years 3–10.
• Lead or support a wide range of activities (e.g., orienteering, abseiling, hiking, archery, rock climbing, canoeing, rafting).
• Foster student wellbeing, teamwork and safety in a residential camp setting.

About the Role

Seeking a vibrant skilled and qualified Outdoor Education Teacher to join a team of committed educators at the schools Camp. This opportunity is offered as a weekday residential role with staff accommodation provided, however staff can live at camp throughout the year if preferred.

The Outdoor Education Camp runs programs at Eildon to support the educational and personal development of students, typically from Years 3 to 10. Students enjoy a wide range of activities that include orienteering, abseiling, hiking, archery, rock climbing, canoeing, rafting, initiative games and high and low rope courses. Fostering teamwork amongst students with an appreciation and understanding of the natural environment.
