Job summary

Lighthouse Christian College is seeking an experienced Outdoor Education Coordinator to lead and enhance our Secondary Experiential Education Program in Melbourne. This permanent part-time 0.7FTE role involves planning and delivering camps, expeditions and outdoor activities that build resilience and leadership in students within a Christian school community.

Applicants should have outdoor education experience, strong organisational skills, and current VIT registration or the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in outdoor education, expedition leadership or experiential learning programs.
• Strong organisational, planning and project management skills.
• Experience coordinating camps, outdoor activities or adventure-based programs.
• Sound understanding of risk management, safety systems and compliance requirements in outdoor education settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Christian education and the values and mission of Lighthouse Christian College.
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or ability to obtain registration.
• Current Working with Children Check and relevant child safety clearances.
