Job summary

National Parks & Wildlife Service in NSW seeks a Ranger based in Moama to protect parks, heritage and engage with communities. This fixed-term full-time role offers hands-on outdoor conservation work across projects including weed and pest control, visitor experience improvements and fire management.

You will collaborate with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders, undertake field surveys, and contribute to safety and law enforcement while developing skills and advancing a rewarding

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent relevant to the field operations of the Agency.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and protect NPWS parks, reserves and heritage assets.
• Deliver conservation projects including weed, pest and wildlife management programs.
• Support visitor facility improvements and recreational opportunities.
• Participate in fire management programs and emergency response activities.
• Undertake environmental assessments, monitoring and field surveys.
• Build positive relationships with local communities, park visitors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to law enforcement, compliance and visitor safety activities.
