Job summary

MG Motor Australia is seeking an Outbound Logistics Coordinator for the Eastern Region. You will oversee vehicle movements from arrival in Australia through to dealer delivery, coordinating with dealers, internal teams, and third-party logistics providers to ensure stock is allocated, transported and delivered efficiently.

You will drive day-to-day relationships with compounds and transport partners, monitor KPIs, manage delivery risks, and support month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, operations or related environment.
• Automotive industry experience is highly regarded.
• Experience coordinating logistics operations with external suppliers or 3PL providers.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle storage, dealer allocations, transport movements and delivery priorities across the Eastern Region.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with compounds, transport providers and other 3PL partners.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and service levels, following up on issues and corrective actions.
• Track vehicle movements, aged stock, delivery risks and transport exceptions and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate vehicle damage investigations and transit/marine insurance claims.
• Respond to dealer enquiries regarding vehicle status, transport progress and expected delivery timing.
• Support end-of-month logistics requirements and manage priorities during peak periods.
• Prepare regular logistics reporting, performance updates and action plans.
• Review logistics invoices and assist with cost analysis, supplier reviews and payment processes.
• Conduct operational site visits and work with suppliers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Outbound Logistics Coordinator (Eastern Region) will oversee vehicle movements from arrival in Australia through to dealer delivery. You will work closely with our dealer network, internal teams and third-party logistics providers to ensure stock is allocated, transported and delivered efficiently. This is a hands‑on coordination role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced operational environment, solving problems and keeping multiple moving parts on track.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong Microsoft Office, reporting and data analysis capability.

• A proactive, practical approach and confidence working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Automotive product, dealer or vehicle distribution knowledge would be advantageous.
