Job summary

Quilpie Shire Council is seeking a skilled Plumber to deliver and maintain essential water and sewerage services across the Quilpie Shire. You will join a supportive team, undertake diverse maintenance, repairs and installations, and respond to emergencies while upholding safety and Council values.

Ideally you will have a Plumber Trade Qualification, a current General Construction Induction Card, and proven experience in plumbing maintenance. Local government experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Plumber Trade Qualification.
• Current General Construction Induction Card.
• Demonstrated experience in plumbing maintenance, repairs and installation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in local government, utilities, civil construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake plumbing and drainage works associated with construction, maintenance and operations of council.
• Organise and coordinate assigned tasks and resource allocations.
• Undertake testing and inspections.
• Maintain, repair and install plumbing infrastructure.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies, breakdowns and service requests across the shire.
