Job summary

TheirCare Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the Outside School Hours Care program at Nelson Park within a specialist school setting in Victoria. This role supports the Victorian Government High Intensity OSHC initiative and features a high staff-to-child ratio to meet complex needs.

You will coordinate before/after school and holiday programs, coach teams, and liaise with families and schools to deliver individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Lead your own OSHC service and support local families by providing quality before and after school care and holiday programs.
• Plan and prepare child-focused programs for school-aged children in a specialist school setting.
• Maintain a high staff-to-student ratio to meet individual needs (1:2, 1:1, 2:1).
• Foster a positive team culture through coaching, training and reflective practice.
• Rostering for your service with support from your Area Manager.
• Manage compliance documents and other administrative tasks.
• Liaise with families, school teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure individualized care.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager at Nelson Park to lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. This role is a key part of the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative (find out more at: High Intensity Outside School Hours Care Initiative for students with disabilities | vic.gov.au). The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children).

About The Role

Requirements

In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role:

• Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including but not limited to, studies in Teaching, Childcare or Community Services. For the full list of ACECQA recognised qualifications in your state, please visit www.acecqa.gov.au
• Must be available to work during service hours: 10:00 - 18:00 and during school holiday periods (8:30am - 5.30pm)
• Employee Working with Children Check valid in Victoria
• Valid First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
• Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting
• Willing to obtain National Criminal History Check
