Job summary

The Y NSW is seeking an Assistant Director to support the leadership of an OSHC service, oversee program quality, educator performance and compliance, and foster family engagement.

You will work closely with the Director, provide hands-on program delivery, balance leadership with direct service delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for children.

Qualifications

• Experience in OSHC or children's services.
• Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current First Aid/CPR and relevant certifications.
• Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality OSHC programs aligned with the National Quality Framework.
• Lead, mentor and support educators through coaching and collaboration.
• Contribute to program planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate daily operations and support service leadership in the Director's absence.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
• Ensure documentation, risk management and reporting are accurate.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, schools and the community.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and child-focused environment.
