Job summary

Siena OSHC, Sippy Downs, part of Catholic Early EdCare, seeks a casual Educator to join our friendly team near the University of the Sunshine Coast. We’re hoping for someone with a qualification in Children’s Services or actively working towards one, plus experience in childcare or OSHC.

Located on Siena Catholic College grounds, we offer before/after school care and vacation care for up to 60 children. You’ll help create play-based experiences and support families and children daily.

Qualifications

• Hold (or actively working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent - essential for this role
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 - Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Some previous experience in a childcare or OSHC setting is preferred
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Effective workplace communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school, after school, and vacation care
• Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all
• Design fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences tailored to children's interests
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Join exciting excursions and special events during vacation care
