Job summary

School Plus, based at Brisbane State School, is seeking an Educator to support Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for children aged 5–12. You will help create engaging, safe activities and build strong links with families and the school community.

You’ll join a friendly team with opportunities to gain experience across our services within Our Patch Education, while contributing to child safety and wellbeing. A current WWC check is required or the willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with OSHC, Early Childhood Education, education, sport, recreation or related setting is desirable.
• Flexibility to work across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs.

Job description

At School Plus, you'll support school-aged children (5-12 years) in our Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs, creating engaging experiences where children can play, learn and grow.

Based at Brisbane State School, you'll join a vibrant and well-established service supporting up to 160 children. You'll become part of a welcoming team dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for children and building strong relationships with families and the school community. Every day brings something different, with opportunities to inspire curiosity, confidence and belonging through engaging play-based programs.

You'll also have opportunities to gain experience across other School Plus services when needed, helping you broaden your skills and grow your career within our organisation.

You'll have:

• A Certificate III, Diploma in School Age Education and Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification (or be currently studying)
• Experience working with children in OSHC, Early Childhood Education, education, sport, recreation or a related setting (desirable)
• A positive, team-focused approach and strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development
• A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or willingness to obtain
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
• A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing
• Flexibility to work across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs
