Job summary

MACSEYE – Chelsea, part of the Melbourne Catholic Archdiocese OSHC program, is expanding and seeking a permanent part-time educator to join a warm, supportive team and guide children before and after school through engaging activities. Hours are 3:00 pm–5:30 pm with permanent part-time pay at $30–$38/hr plus super and allowances (casual up to $46/hr).

The role requires Cert III (or higher) in an ACECQA recognised qualification (or studying), valid First Aid/CPR, WWCC and work rights, plus

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with children
• Excellent communication with families and team
• Hold Cert III (or higher) in ACECQA recognised qualification or current student
• Valid First Aid, CPR, WWCC and Australian work rights (or able to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Design safe and inspiring spaces where children feel secure and engaged
• Plan engaging, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and learning
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Support each child’s wellbeing and development through daily activities
• Collaborate with the team to create programs reflecting children’s interests
