Job Description

Our Outside School Hours Care service, Sunbury State School Helping Hands, is looking for a passionate Casual Educator to assist the service and provide engaging programs for our primary‑age children.

You will work across split shifts to support the service’s operating hours of Monday – Friday, 6 : 00am – 9 : 00am (Rise then Shine Program) and 2 : 45pm – 6 : 00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!

About the role

Working in a team of Educators, you will have support of a Coordinator to seamlessly run before and after school care for children aged 5‑12 years:

  • Facilitate an engaging child‑centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Work with a team of skilled Educators onsite
Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we’ll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
  • Aust­alian work rights
