Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an OSHC Assistant Coordinator for the Holland Park service. The role leads a team of Educators in a before‑ and after‑school program for children aged 5–12, with rostered shifts across early morning and late afternoon blocks.

You’ll design a vibrant, child‑centred program and partner with families, schools and internal stakeholders to grow the service. A Diploma or ACECQA‑approved qualification, police checks, and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full‑time study towards an ACECQA‑approved qualification
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check required on onboarding
• Australian work rights required
• Clear and confident communication; ability to lead teams and work in a childcare setting

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Educators and oversee a before‑ and after‑school program for ages 5–12
• Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program with activities (STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts)
• Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance and administration
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and partner with families and the school community
• Receive support from an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager

Helping Hands Holland Park is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent, part‑time role (20 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday.

Service hours include:

• Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
• Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
• School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role

As an Assistant Coordinator, you’ll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before‑and after‑school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:

• Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
• Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
• Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
• Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

• Completed or working towards a Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full‑time study towards an ACECQA‑approved qualification
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
• Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
• Communicates clearly and confidently
• Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
• Has Australian work rights
