Job summary

Knox Private Hospital in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Services Manager to lead and grow our orthopaedic program within a leading private hospital network.

You will collaborate with Orthopaedic VMOs, nursing teams and allied health to optimise patient flow, discharge planning and service delivery, while driving clinical excellence and staff development in a supportive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate nursing qualification and a minimum of two years' experience within Orthopaedic specialty.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical environment.
• Strong understanding of patient flow, discharge planning and service optimisation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience collaborating with medical specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
• Experience in human resource management and developing team performance.

About the Role

As the Orthopaedic Services Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Managers across our Orthopaedic wards to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the orthopaedic journey.

With a strong focus on evidence-based practice, service optimisation and clinical excellence, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing growth and strategic direction of orthopaedic services at Knox Private Hospital.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday day shifts.
