Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking an Orthopaedic Unaccredited Trainee to provide clinical assessment and management of patients requiring specialised Hand Surgery, across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, under appropriate supervision.

The role will involve working with consultants and a multidisciplinary team, progressively developing independence in patient management while ensuring patient safety, quality improvement and respectful communication.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent
• Three postgraduate years as medical officer in clinical hospital setting
• Experience in orthopaedics teaching and supervision of junior medical staff

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and management of patients requiring hand surgery
• Work with consultants and multidisciplinary team across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings
• Progressively develop greater independence in patient management under supervision
