Job summary

Virgona Fresh Food Group in Melbourne is looking for reliable pick packers to join our growing team. Full-time roles include night and morning shifts, with some rotating Saturdays and a midweek day off in lieu.

You will read orders on an iPad, pack fruit and vegetables, rotate stock, and help keep the workspace clean and safe. Lifting up to 20 kg and teamwork are part of the role, with growth opportunities in our family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Own vehicle and Australian driver’s license to transit to work.
• Fun, positive personality, willing to learn and adapt to the business needs.
• Energetic and able to work both with others and independently.
• Basic understanding of fruit and vegetables is a bonus; willing to learn.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Packing customer fruit and vegetable orders. This will include reading orders off an iPad, checking the quality of produce and packing produce into boxes.
• Stock rotation and end of day clean up
• Following company policies and food safety procedures
• Lifting up to 20kg
• Flexible working environment and team with great pay and working conditions

Job description

We are looking for the right people to join our expanding team of experienced pick packers!

Full time positions available, 38 hours weekly Monday to Friday and some rotating Saturday work as well, with a day off during the week in lieu.

Night Shift

Sunday to Thursdays 9:30PM to 5:30AM

Morning Shift

Monday to Fridays 1am to 9am

Hours can vary slightly depending on busy periods.

Our core business is supplying Melbourne cafes, restaurants, child and aged care centers with fresh fruit and vegetables.

The right candidate must have...

• Own vehicle and Australian drivers license to transit to and from work


• A fun and positive personality, willing to learn and adapt to our ever developing and changing business needs.


• Be full of energy and happy to work together with their fellow team members but can also thrive when working solo


• A basic understanding of fruit and vegetables would be a bonus, but don't stress if you don't know much, if your willing to learn, were happy to teach!


• Attention to detail, its the small things that make the big difference
