Job summary

Vision Eye Institute is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join a specialist ophthalmology team. You will perform diagnostic testing and support clinics with precision and care in a collaborative environment.

You will work with ophthalmologists, orthoptists and staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Training on equipment is available; a patient-first approach is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests is preferred.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and document results accurately.
• Strong patient communication and compassionate care during testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and biometry.
• Ensure assessments follow doctor protocols and are accurate.
• Prepare patients and provide clear, supportive testing experiences.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment.
• Assist with general administrative or clinic flow duties as required.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, orthoptists and staff to support patient outcomes.
