Nyrstar Port Pirie Pty Ltd is seeking a Plant Operator to join our operations in Port Pirie. You will operate plant areas and equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to safely and efficiently process metals and meet production targets.

The role requires some heavy industry experience and valid licences (Forklift, Bridge & Gantry, Confined Space, Working at Heights are advantageous). A pre-employment medical and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualificações

• Some heavy industry, construction or similar labourer experience
• Licences and tickets such as Forklift, Bridge & Gantry, Confined Space or Working at Heights are highly advantageous
• Physically fit – pass a pre-employment medical and undertake a physical Operator role
• Safety-focused and a team player

Responsabilidades

• Operate plant areas and equipment (forklifts, cranes) to safely and efficiently process and produce metals
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
• Work a 12-hour shift roster on a 4/4 pattern (2 days, 2 nights) with 4 days off
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and quality standards

Join Nyrstar Port Pirie as a Plant Operator!

As a Plant Operator, you will work in one of five plant areas operating equipment such as forklifts and cranes and manually working to safely and efficiently process and produce the critical metals the world relies on. In a nutshell, we turn dirt into metal!

Plant Operators work a shift roster (12 hours per shift) on an even-time 4/4 roster. This means you’ll work 2 dayshifts and 2 nights, followed by 4 days off, giving you ample time to enjoy your hobbies, the region and get involved in local community groups.
