JJ’s Waste & Recycling – Laverton North VIC is seeking a Health & Hygiene Operations Supervisor to lead our washroom service team in the Melbourne region. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, run scheduling, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable, high-quality services to customers.

The role requires an Open C Licence (HR desirable), experience in transport/logistics, and a hands-on leadership approach.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Health & Hygiene Operations Supervisor to join our team, specifically for washroom services.

Location: Laverton North

Day of Work: Monday to Friday | 8:00am to 4:00pm

JJ’s Health & Hygiene is a division of JJ’s Waste & Recycling specialising in the sanitary and washroom services.

In this role you will lead our service team, ensuring the ongoing success of our well-established and diverse waste collection & washroom service operations in the Melbourne region.

What you’ll Do

• Provide assistance to the Operations Manager and oversee operations on a day-to-day basis
• Lead the service team and engage in run scheduling and optimisation
• Become a proficient operator of all service vehicles and/site-based processing equipment
• Provide vehicle operations training and undertake periodic assessment of driver performance
• Ensure all drivers and staff comply with JJs training requirements and accreditation
• Strive to achieve and uphold a high level of customer service within the business
• Establish and manage relations with customers and the public
• Comply with laws, regulations and requirements
• Strive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times
• Stakeholder engagement - community, team, customers

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in Transport/Logistics industry
• Have an Open C Licence and be prepared to get your hands dirty to perform a variety of driving and other operational roles (as required)
• Forklift Licence preferred, but not required
• Dedicated, practical, pragmatic, and have an interest in understanding and working in the waste management / environmental services industry
• Interested in leading a team and managing people to achieve business goals

What You’ll Need

• Undertake a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Australian Driving Licence.
• Open C Licence Essential, HR Licence Desirable
• Sound knowledge of the Greater Melbourne Area
• Provide a five-year traffic history at interview.
• Permanent Australian Working Rights.
• Have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children's Blue Card
