YOUR ROLE
The Operations Supervisor, based at Banksmeadow NSW is responsible for leading day-to-day contract logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient and accurate service delivery across warehouse activities. The role provides hands‑on leadership to a frontline team, maintains service performance in line with customer and contractual requirements, and upholds CEVA’s safety, compliance and operational standards.
In addition to operational oversight, the role applies continuous improvement and analytical principles to enhance workflow efficiency, labour utilisation, warehouse layout, material flows and overall performance. Working closely with Site/Contract Managers and CEVA’s Business Process Excellence (BPE) team, the Supervisor contributes to the development, implementation and embedding of improved processes, standard work and operational practices.
This is a permanent full‑time position.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Lead daily safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility requirements, ensuring hazards, incidents and non conformances are escalated promptly and resolved effectively.
- Supervise a frontline team by rostering effectively, allocating tasks, coaching performance and maintaining discipline in accordance with enterprise agreements.
- Oversee warehouse activities including receiving, put away, picking, packing, replenishment, inventory accuracy and dispatch to meet customer service levels and cut off times.
- Monitor operational KPIs such as productivity, DIFOT, accuracy and damages, identifying risks early and collaborating with the Site/Contract Manager to maintain performance.
- Manage labour efficiency by matching staffing to workload, reducing rework, controlling overtime and ensuring accurate time and attendance records.
- Analyse workflows, labour utilisation and process bottlenecks to develop and implement improvements that increase throughput and reduce operational waste.
- Conduct time in motion reviews, process mapping and root cause analysis to support decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support layout optimisation, slotting reviews and improvements in material flow, storage utilisation and MHE use to enhance operational efficiency.
- Use WMS data and operational reporting tools to investigate performance trends, track improvement actions and support data driven decision making.
- Maintain audit ready documentation for safety, compliance, customer standards and process governance, and perform additional duties in line with CEVA Leadership Profile expectations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics and supply chain or related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in 3PL warehousing operations, including responsibility for supervising frontline teams.
- Strong track record of meeting operational KPIs such as productivity, accuracy and DIFOT.
- Experience in supporting operational decision‑making through analysis of workflow performance, labour utilisation or process efficiency.
- Experience participating in or supporting small improvement projects that enhance operational flow, accuracy or safety.
- Solid understanding of warehouse processes, safety and CoR requirements.
- Familiarity with enterprise agreements and day‑to‑day rostering practices.
- Competent user of WMS and basic reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of CI techniques such as 5S or problem solving.
- Clear communicator with strong coaching and team support skills.
- Able to address issues promptly and maintain positive working relationships.
