Job summary

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is seeking an Operations Manager – Unit Support in Barwon. This hands-on leadership role leads a Unit Support Team to ensure service delivery and readiness for emergencies, coordinating with SACO and ACO across regional operations.

The role includes community engagement and volunteer recruitment to strengthen resilience. Operational duties include acting as Duty Officer or as part of an Incident Management Team during local, regional or state-wide

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Unit Support Team and coordinating with SACO and ACO.
• Willingness to travel to the Regional Office or ICC within 60 minutes when rostered as Duty Officer.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Unit Support Team to ensure service delivery and guidance.
• Develop and maintain operational readiness for emergencies and engagement with LGAs.
• Support community engagement including volunteer recruitment and retention.
• Undertake Duty Officer and IMT roles during local, regional or state-wide operations.
