Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant social services field with at least 4 years case-management experience in family support, child protection, youth support, housing or related field.
  • Or Diploma with at least 6 years experience in a similar case-management role.
  • Strong data management, analysis, and visualization skills.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead change-management initiatives.
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks and ability to manage child harm risks.
  • Large-team management experience, including workflow, quality, and cross-branch coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Ability to integrate multiple programs and services to provide wrap-around care for families.
  • Creative problem-solving to overcome operational challenges and maximise client impact.

About The Role

The Operations Manager (Nyanya Munjindei) is a senior role within the Community Services Division, reporting to the General Manager of Community Services. The role leads the branch's ongoing implementation, improvements, and expansion of the Delegated Authority services across Brisbane and Logan, and drives reform and new enhancements to improve child safety and family connection.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and implement projects to ensure teams understand ATSICHS DA priorities and program objectives with clearly defined goals.
  • Lead operational alignment, ensuring each team member knows their responsibilities and how they contribute to outcomes.
  • Audit and score case management quality across teams, identify changing trends, and develop strategies to improve client impact.
  • Develop risk frameworks and review associated policies and procedures for managing compliance and risk.
  • Lead the change management plan to improve team safety regarding transparent performance, ensuring data communication remains focused on our mission.
  • Provide targeted coaching to Managers/Team Leaders, documenting and facilitating through the ATSICHS Collective Coaching App.
  • Implement and standardise client feedback and wellbeing measurement tools (Session Rating Scale and Outcome Rating Scale) across the branch.
  • Complete monthly managerial requirements with direct reports in the Mobnet system.
