Job summary

ACT Health in Canberra is seeking an Operations Manager for the Division of Surgery at North Canberra Hospital, Bruce. You will lead the operations across surgical services, partnering with senior clinical and nursing leaders to drive performance, reporting, and data-driven decision making to deliver high-quality patient care.

Initially you will manage healthcare administration and support staff, with responsibilities across theatres, admissions, and perioperative services.

Salary: $127,597 – $136,873 (Plus 12.5% Super)

About the Role:

The Division of Surgery delivers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services, encompassing Specialist Outpatient Clinics, Surgical Bookings and Pre-Admission Clinic, Anaesthesia, Pain Management, Operating Theatres, Post-Anaesthetic Care, Day Surgery, Admissions, Endoscopy, and specialised surgical inpatient ward areas.

As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the effective performance and operational management of the Division. Working in partnership with senior clinical and nursing leaders, you will provide strategic and operational oversight across diverse service areas, drive performance monitoring and reporting, support informed decision‑making through the provision of critical data and insights, and lead a team of healthcare administration and support staff to deliver efficient services that enable exceptional patient care.
