Hydrovac Solutions is a locally owned and operated Vacuum Excavation company servicing the Canberra and surrounding regions. We are specialists in vacuum excavation, safely exposing underground services using regulated high‑pressure water. We pride ourselves on being the quickest, safest and most efficient non‑destructive digging specialists.

The Role
  • Lead, motivate, and support a small team of operators
  • Drive operational excellence through safe, efficient and innovative practices
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and achieve KPIs
  • Operate vacuum excavator trucks and units to complete jobs when needed, especially during staff absences
  • Liaise with customers to book jobs
  • Ensure all basic paperwork (JSEA's, pre-starts, work dockets, timesheets, etc.) is completed
  • Ensure staff conduct routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning
  • Roster staff, including on‑call and weekend rosters
  • Complete all WHS responsibilities, proactively promoting a safe work culture and modeling safe work practices
What you need to succeed
  • Experience in a similar role (highly desired)
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Good time‑management skills
  • Previous experience producing basic paperwork including JSEA's, pre-starts, work dockets and timesheets
  • The ability to resolve operational issues quickly, keeping your team and customers informed
  • The initiative to challenge unsafe behaviour/attitude and escalate safety issues as required
