Job summary

Leichhardt Uniting Church is seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide general business, property and administrative support to the Ministry team and broader LUC community. The role focuses on rental management, property operations, financial administration and day-to-day admin within a faith-based community.

You will work with a small team, liaising with hirers, contractors and Church Council. A Working With Children Check is required, and familiarity with Elvanto and Squarespace is

Qualifications

• Experience in general business administration and/or property management.
• Proven ability in financial administration and support.
• Strong communication with multiple stakeholders across varying financial experience.
• Ability to work flexibly in a small, cohesive team.
• Willingness to learn church-specific software (Elvanto & Squarespace).
• Willingness to work within Uniting Church values and polity.

Responsibilities

• Rental management: maintain relationships with hirers, coordinate bookings, invoicing, and draft rental agreements for church buildings and Epworth community.
• Property and Operations management: oversee repairs, contractors, 10-year maintenance plan, and ensure safety/compliance.
• Financial management: manage banking, reimbursements, liaise with suppliers and Treasurer, prepare financial information for Church Council.
• General Administration: manage church phone, day-to-day admin, property keys, parking permits, reporting to Church Council.
• Collaborate with Ministry team and stakeholders to support LUC operations.
