Job summary

Australia Post is seeking an Operations Clerk at the Wollongong Facility to support the StarTrack operations, coordinating freight movements, assisting drivers, and maintaining accurate records. This permanent part-time role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–4:36pm.

The pay rate is $31.70 per hour plus 12% superannuation and other leave benefits. You’ll work closely with drivers and leaders to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proactive and organised, team player with strong stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30kg with pre-employment medical.

About the opportunity

As an Operations Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting the StarTrack operations team to ensure freight moves efficiently and customers receive the service they expect. Working closely with drivers, operational leaders, customers and internal stakeholders, you'll help coordinate daily activities, resolve enquiries and maintain accurate records that keep our operation running smoothly. Success in this role comes from your ability to stay organised, communicate effectively and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 4:36pm.

You’ll also

• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with drivers, supervisors, customers and colleagues.
• Be confident using computers and possess intermediate-level experience across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Be physically capable of lifting up to 30kg, with fitness requirements assessed through a pre-employment medical.
