About the role:
The Operating Model Role Design Lead is responsible for working with the Workstream Lead to translate elements of the Target Operating Model into clear, consistent, and future‑ready role profiles that define how the organization will operate.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and documentation of role profiles aligned to the TOM including purpose, accountabilities, decision rights and required capabilities ensuring consistency across all role designs following relevant internal processes.
- Conduct gap analysis with insights from assigned stakeholders and SMEs to define future state requirements.
- Define capability and skill framework in collaboration with internal teams such as People & Culture.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and alignment sessions with leaders, SMEs and People & Culture.
- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to support workforce planning and transition activity.
- Maintain up to date centralised repository with relevant controls for all work inputs such as position description design.
- Provide input to governance, process, and reporting and PMO requirements.
Be Impactful when you are applying…
You will also have most of the following experience:
- Relevant tertiary in Org Design, Business or HR and/or TAFE qualification preferred
- Significant experience in organisation design, job architecture, role design, or HR/operating model transformation work.
- Demonstrated experience translating target operating models into role structures and job profiles
- Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and alignment sessions with senior stakeholders (leaders, P&C business partners, and SMEs)
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, decision rights models (e.g., RACI), and spans-and-layers design principles
- Ideally understanding of regulatory and compliance constraints in energy retail (billing, hardship, CDR, etc.)
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, comfortable engaging executive stakeholders.
