The Manager, Conservatorium Open Academy at The University of Sydney leads the Open Academy unit, guiding its strategic development and day‑to‑day operations across venues. You will shape programs, expand community engagement, and ensure delivery of continuing education with artistic excellence.

You will work with Faculty leadership to balance budgets, manage staffing including casual teaching staff, and build partnerships with schools and industry to grow participation and revenue while

Qualificações

• Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to lead, mentor and develop teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Strong project management capabilities across priorities and deadlines.
• Operational management experience with processes and procedures.
• Financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of the music education sector and arts industry.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the strategic direction and long-term growth of the Conservatorium Open Academy.
• Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring delivery of programs and events.
• Develop and implement business, operational and growth plans with Faculty leadership.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and reporting, ensuring resource stewardship.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team including casual teaching staff.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, partners and community groups.
• Drive student recruitment, marketing and outreach to increase participation and revenue.
• Establish partnerships with schools and external organisations to expand opportunities.
• Oversee planning and delivery of festivals, conferences, and projects.
