Job summary

Ora Banda Mining in Western Australia is seeking a qualified Emergency Response professional to join our growing team on site at our underground operations. You will lead emergency medical response, maintain first aid facilities, and support safety programs as we expand toward a larger production profile.

Requirements include Certificate IV Pre-Hospital Care, Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, MR licence, and at least two years in an underground environment.

Qualifications

• Two years+ experience in an operating underground mine or construction environment.
• Certificate IV Pre-Hospital Care is required.
• Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (or similar) including underground competencies.
• Current Australian MR class manual driver's licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Protect people, assets and the environment on site.
• Provide emergency medical response, clinical care and trauma management.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through health surveillance and training.
• Coordinate the Emergency Response Team in incidents and drills.
• Join pre-starts, toolbox meetings and field engagement.
• Support the fitness-for-work program and Mine Safety Management System.
• Treat injuries and illness and keep medical records confidential.
• Run drug and alcohol testing and health clinics.
• Assist injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain first aid rooms, ambulances and equipment.
• Maintain emergency procedures and maps.
• Run weekly emergency response training and equipment checks.
