Job summary

Thales, a global technology leader, is seeking an HSE Advisor for our Mulwala site to ensure compliance with health, safety and environment standards on site. You will inspect, audit and monitor construction activities, coach teams, lead incident investigations, and support environmental sustainability through EMS and waste management.

The role requires a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work site-based within a defence-related

Qualifications

• First experience in HSE advisory roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or high-risk industries.
• Good understanding of State/Federal WHS legislation, Safety Management Systems, and injury/incident management.
• Must have Certificate IV/Diploma in Work Health & Safety.
• Strong coaching, auditing, and stakeholder engagement abilities with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
• Ability to work site based.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with Thales HSE systems, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Inspecting, auditing, and monitoring construction sites to mitigate risks and uphold safety protocols.
• Coaching leaders and teams to foster a risk-focused HSE culture—from management to operational levels.
• Leading incident investigations, hazard reporting, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Supporting environmental sustainability through waste management, chemical handling, and EMS compliance.
• Collaborating with regulatory agencies and maintaining meticulous records for audits and permits.
