Job summary

Weir Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to support critical mining operations at customer sites and Weir Service Centres. You will perform maintenance, repairs and installations on GEHO equipment, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime while upholding Weir's safety standards.

You will work hands-on, travel regularly to sites, supervise customer personnel, and collaborate with service teams to improve efficiency and deliver world-class customer support in a zero-harm culture.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Machining, or related discipline.
• Experience reading technical documents and safety procedures.
• Experience leading teams and implementing improvements.
• Ability to interact with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and installations on GEHO equipment.
• Deliver field service, supervise customers onsite, build relationships.
• Collaborate with service teams to improve efficiency and lean initiatives.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and engage workforce.
• Travel to sites for inspections, maintenance, testing, documentation, and projects.
• Maintain a zero-harm safety culture.
