Job summary

Kingston Community School in South Australia is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to oversee administrative, financial and facilities resources, ensuring a supportive learning environment.

You will partner with the Principal, Leadership Team and staff to implement policies, manage recruitment and development, oversee maintenance, and strengthen engagement with families and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Experience with HR, facilities, financial management and accounting in a school setting.
• Ability to build relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
• Knowledge of financial management principles and IT for school finance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, policy and decision-making processes of the school by providing information and advice to the Principal, Leadership team, School Governing Council, and teaching staff on administrative, financial and physical resource matters.
• Provide expertise and advice to management, committees and staff, and undertake special projects of a finance-related nature
• Develop and maintain effective personnel management practices associated with recruitment, induction, training and development, team building, job design and performance management
• Manage the school’s maintenance requirements.

What you will do

• Knowledge of current financial management and accounting principles and practices as they apply to a DfE school setting including knowledge of information technology hardware and software appropriate to effective financial management.
