Job summary

RM Staffing Bv seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Unanderra, AU. This on-site role supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Responsibilities include hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and issue troubleshooting. Requires 2+ years in data centers; preferred CDCP/CDCS and CCNA/Net+ certifications. Flex scheduling and remote/onsite support options available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills with Cat5e/6/6a and fiber.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on raised floors.
• Professional English communication.
• Data center certifications (CDCP/CDCS) preferred.
• Network certs (CCNA/CompTIA Network+) preferred.
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers preferred.
• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
