Job summary

Bundjalung of Byron Bay Aboriginal Corporation (BOBBAC) is seeking a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to support and coordinate our Cultural Heritage Monitor (CHM) team across Arakwal Country. You will help uphold cultural protocols, respect Traditional Owners, and advance employment pathways through on-Country work.

You will work with Monitors, Elders, stakeholders and the BOBBAC team to coordinate projects, manage rosters, support operations and maintain strong relationships with developers,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience coordinating cultural heritage, land management, or environmental projects.
• Experience working within Aboriginal organisations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of NSW Native Title processes, including ILUAs.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Cultural Heritage Monitors across projects on Arakwal Country.
• Liaise with developers, contractors, consultants, and government agencies to secure opportunities.
• Uphold cultural protocols and BOBBAC values on all projects.
• Manage timesheets, digital reporting, and day-to-day operations.
• Provide on-ground support with strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Maintain records, reporting, and invoicing in collaboration with the finance team and GM.
