Australian National University is seeking a reliable and passionate Chef to join the kitchen team on a casual, on-call basis. The role supports catering, residential, conference and function services, with a focus during busy periods.

You will work as part of the kitchen brigade, preparing and cooking food to a high standard, maintaining hygiene and food safety, and following recipes and menu specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard.
• Complete mise en place and follow recipes and menu specifications.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety.
• Be willing to learn and work across different kitchen sections as required.
