Job summary

Queensland Department of Education is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver contemporary, evidence-based services to students in state schools. You will work within multidisciplinary teams and a multi-tiered support system, ensuring practices align with legislation and Department policies.

You will engage in professional supervision, benefit from a supportive environment, and have access to development funding and flexible arrangements with equipment provided such as laptop

Qualifications

• Registered occupational therapist with current practicing certificate.
• Experience applying OT in educational settings and schools.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a multi-tiered support system.

Responsibilities

• Provide contemporary, evidence-based OT services to students in state schools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver supports.
• Work within a multi-tiered system of support in schools to implement OT interventions.
• Maintain current knowledge and skills for school-based OT practice.
• Ensure OT services comply with legislation and Department policies.
• Engage in regular professional supervision and development.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide contemporary, evidence based occupational therapy services to students in state school

• Provide occupational therapy services which adhere to legislation and Department of Education policies and procedures

• Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
