Gorilla Jobs Pty Ltd. in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary clinic serving clients across the lifespan in the Toowoomba area.

The role offers a mixed clinic and community caseload with the option of Telehealth if desired. You will deliver OT services to NDIS, Medicare, DVA and private clients aged 0–100 with various chronic diagnoses, supported by a generous $10,000 CPD allowance and a salary range of $85,000 to $115,000 plus Super.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (AHPRA registration assumed)
• AHPRA registration required
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Drivers license and own vehicle
• New Graduate, Junior and Senior Occupational Therapists encouraged to apply with competitive salary packages

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services in clinic and community settings in the Toowoomba area.
• Work with NDIS, Medicare, DVA & private clients aged 0–100 with diverse chronic diagnoses.
• Assess and train daily living activities; conduct home assessments and home modification recommendations.
• Provide upper limb and hand therapy, including splint fabrication and prescription.
• Cognitive, perceptual, sensory, developmental and learning supports as required.

What you will be doing

• Based on your preferences and availability, you will be providing occupational therapy services in a clinic and community setting in the Toowoomba area.
• You will work with NDIS, Medicare, DVA & private clients ages 0-100 with a variety of chronic diagnoses
• Occupational Therapy services include;Assessment and training of personal and domestic activities of daily living,Home assessment and recommendations for home modifications, Upper limb and hand therapy including fabrication and prescription of splints, Scar and oedema management, Prescription of assistive devices and equipment, Cognitive assessment and therapy, Perceptual assessment and therapy, Childhood development,Behavioural support and understanding, Sensory support and understanding, Developmental difficulties,Learning/physical disabilities and Neurological impairments/degenerative conditions
• Telehealth (if desired)

How you will be supported

The company has developed a structured onboarding and induction program (including shadowing sessions) so you feel completely settled in your role.

Support is determined by your level of experience and your needs. Weekly supervision is on offer with a highly experienced Occupational Therapist Team Leader as well as regular team meetings and internal PD. The company also offers an incredible PD allowance of up to $10,000.
