Job summary

Everyday Independence is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver person-centred OT for NDIS participants across Melton and surrounding areas.

We welcome full-time or part-time (4 days per week) applicants and offer a competitive salary (AUD 82,106 – 110,143), annual leave loading, a vehicle option, laptop and mobile, plus salary boost opportunities up to AUD 10,000 and generous PD support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• General AHPRA Registration required.
• NDIS/Disability experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Working with Children Check and NDIS Screening Check needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in diverse settings including homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces and community centres.
• Assess using evidence-based tools and create therapy plans.
• Provide life-changing occupational therapy to support goals and funding.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of allied health professionals.
• Build meaningful relationships with participants and supports.
• Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub.

Job title - Occupational Therapist

Location - Melton and surrounding suburbs including: Caroline Springs, Taylors Hill, St Albans, Sunbury, Keilor, Diggers Rest, Fraser Rise, Woodend and Bacchus Marsh.

Employment Type - Full time, Part time (4 days per week) or 9-day fortnight

Salary - $82,106 – $110,143 per annum (inclusive of annual leave loading) + superannuation + vehicle options + mobile + laptop + options to boost salary up to $10,000

Bonuses – $10,000 Change Maker Bonus (Paid at 6 months and 12 months)

Relocation – Reimbursement up to $5,000 if applicable

Supervision and Support – Valued at up to $22,000

Professional Development – PD allowance negotiable

Formal learning opportunities available through registered training organisations and universities

Visa Sponsorship – 482 visa sponsorship considered

About The Role

We are looking for Occupational Therapists to provide life-changing occupational therapy to NDIS participants. This position is ideal if you are seeking a full-time position, however part-time would also be considered.

• Working in the social model means you’ll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
• Utilizing an evidence-based measurement tool and your skills in assessment, you'll create therapy plans and provide life-changing occupational therapy to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
• Work within an interdisciplinary team of passionate and dedicated allied health professionals
• Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
• Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
• You’ll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor
