Job summary

Gippsland Health Alliance in Victoria seeks an Occupational Therapist (Grade 2) for fixed-term parental leave coverage (0.63 FTE) until 2 July 2027. The role provides supervision to AHAs, Grade 1 AHPs and students, and serves inpatients, transitional care and community settings.

You will hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration, bring 4+ years in acute/sub-acute or community care, and demonstrate strong clinical and risk assessment skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
• 4+ years’ experience in acute, sub-acute and/or community care (desirable).
• Experience providing OT services in acute, sub-acute or community care settings.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to undertake OT clinical and risk assessment and home modification recommendations.
• Ability to set priorities and work efficiently with program requirements.
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams or autonomously as a sole OT practitioner.
• Experience teaching/supervising AHAs or students (desirable).
• Maintain high-standard documentation and data.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to AHAs, Grade 1 AHPs and students.
• Deliver OT assessments and interventions for inpatients, transitional care and community clients.
• Maintain high-quality coordinated OT services with clients and families, and other clinicians.
