Job summary

SA Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Child Health & Development Team. You will deliver family-centric services to support children and families across the local community, working within a multidisciplinary team to use prevention, early intervention, assessment, therapy and evaluation approaches.

Depending on experience, you may work under guidance or with greater autonomy, while contributing to supervision of students and junior staff.

Qualifications

• Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and eligible for relevant professional registration/membership.
• Ability to deliver evidence-based assessment, intervention and health promotion services.
• Strong communication, clinical judgement and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and support students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, family-centred occupational therapy services for children and families across the local community.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and use prevention, early intervention, assessment, therapy and evaluation approaches.
• Supervise students, allied health assistants and less experienced clinicians where appropriate.

About the Role:

You will deliver comprehensive, family‑centred occupational therapy services that support children and their families across the local community. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll use prevention, early intervention, assessment, therapy and evaluation approaches to improve developmental outcomes. Depending on your experience, you'll work under the guidance of a Clinical Senior or with greater autonomy while contributing to the supervision of students, allied health assistants and less experienced clinicians.
