AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (ANU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral/Research Fellow in observational seismology. The successful applicant will join a vibrant Solid Earth Geophysics group to work on passive-seismic imaging of upper mantle structure beneath the WA-Array.

Qualifications

• PhD in observational seismology (or awarding within six months).
• Experience in processing and analyzing passive-seismic data.
• Programming skills with Python or MATLAB for data computation and visualization.
• Experience working with large datasets from continental-scale arrays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observational seismology research focusing on passive imaging of upper mantle.
• Apply anisotropic receiver functions and S-wave receiver functions to study mantle discontinuities.
• Process and analyze WA-Array data and contribute to collaboration with Solid Earth Geophysics.
