Western NSW Local Health District in Dubbo is seeking an Unaccredited Trainee in Obstetrics & Gynecology to cover maternity leave from 16 November until the end of the 2027 clinical year (February 2028). You will provide clinical services to patients under supervision with obstetrics, gynecology outpatient and surgical duties.

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  • Completion of at least three postgraduate years of medical practice.
  • Minimum 3 months of Obstetric & Gynecology experience.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children check.
  • Cleared National Police check.
  • Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions.
  • Vaccination evidence to comply with NSW Health policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical services to patients under supervision with an Obstetrics role and Gynecology outpatient and surgical responsibilities.
  • Take part in Antenatal clinics alongside trainees and Staff Specialists; cover the labour ward on a 1:4 roster out of hours.
  • Engage in routine surgical lists including laparoscopic and pelvic floor procedures and other complex operations.
