Millennium Services Group is seeking a vigilant NV1 Security Officer in Surry Hills, NSW. This casual role focuses on access control, monitoring, and high-level customer service to protect people and assets across sites.

You will handle visitor management, CCTV review, alarms response, and incident reporting while presenting a professional, approachable security presence. Full Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Security Licence.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Availability to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to conduct patrols when required.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• The ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional presentation and customer‑focused approach.
• A proven track record of reliability, accountability, and punctuality.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers.
• Issue and monitor access control credentials, including visitor passes.
• Monitor and review CCTV systems, including retrieval of historical footage when required.
• Operate walk‑through and handheld metal detection equipment.
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and visible security presence.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, taking appropriate action in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all client, site, and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.
