Job summary

Townsville Hospital and Health Service invites applications for a Nutrition & Dietetics trainee. You will perform clinical support tasks and develop on-the-job skills while completing a dietetics degree to gain the entry-level qualification required for Dietitian in Queensland.

• Salary range: $39.44 to $46.33 p.h (HP1)
• 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

• To be considered, a trainee must:
  • Be enrolled in full time or part time study at an Australian university, in a Nutrition and Dietetics degree whereby graduation from the course provides an entry level qualification mandatory for employment as a Health Practitioner – (Dietitian) in Queensland;
  • Have completed at least the 1st year of university studies (evidence of enrolment and successful year completion required).
• Appointment to this position requires proof of enrolment in a recognised tertiary-level Dietetics program, accredited by Dietitians Australia that results in a Dietetics qualification that provides eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian program.
• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
